CLALLAM COUNTY – The Special Election is underway! Ballots were mailed on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, to all active, eligible voters in Clallam County. Military and overseas voters’ ballots were mailed on March 27, 2026. Ballots will begin to arrive in mailboxes over the next week.
The purpose of the Special Election is to approve or reject a Local Proposition for North Olympic Library Services. Official Ballot Drop Boxes are open throughout Clallam County and ballot collection is underway. Return your ballot by Official Ballot Drop Box or by mail, no stamp is needed. Your ballot must be deposited in an Official Ballot Drop Box by 8 PM or postmarked by Election Day, April 28, 2026. If mailed, the USPS recommends that you mail a full week before Election Day. Voters returning their ballot less than a week before Election Day are encouraged to use an Official Ballot Drop Box. There are nine Official Ballot Drop Boxes throughout Clallam County. Locations can be viewed at www.VoteWA.gov and are listed in your ballot packet.
Registered voters who do not receive a ballot packet by April 17 should call or visit the Elections and Voter Registration Office for a replacement. Voters can also securely access a replacement ballot delivered online by logging into www.VoteWA.gov. A copy of the voter pamphlet is included in each ballot envelope. A printable copy is available at www.ClallamCountyWA.gov/Elections. An Online Voters’ Guide is also available at www.VoteWA.gov.
