Councilman James Salazar, on behalf of the Quileute Tribal Council and the Quileute Veterans Association, recently thanked Tim Fletcher and Martin Dillon for their work designing and creating plaques honoring two Quileute tribal Air Force veterans.

Salazar said the project serves as a remembrance of the veterans’ service to the country and honors them posthumously.

According to Salazar, Fletcher reached out and offered assistance after hearing about the project.

“This act is a great demonstration of commitment and selflessness that Tim contributes to the greater Forks area and strengthens the relationship between the Quileute Tribe and the City of Forks,” Salazar said in a statement. “Thank you Mayor Fletcher.”

The memorial project reflects ongoing cooperation and support between the Quileute Tribe and the Forks community.
