A large crowd turned out to take in the T-ball games on June 2 here in Forks, where 5 and 6-year-olds showcased their skills in something that resembled baseball. Oh, I guess there weren’t many double plays made. In fact, there were none, but these youngsters gave their all as coaches and parents alike guided these future Spartans in what was, for many, their first ball game ever.
All players had their chances batting as each team would bat around before going to the field, where they attempted to play some high-quality defense. One base runner, after rounding third, went straight to the bench. Why bother touching home plate when the run didn’t really matter anyway, as scores are not kept in this T-Ball league composed of 6 teams that play here in Forks. Here at Duncan Fields.
