New Vehicle and Vessel Licensing Office to Open in Forks Aug. 3

Published 1:30 am Thursday, July 16, 2026

West End residents will soon have a new, convenient location to take care of their vehicle and vessel licensing needs.

Clallam County Auditor Shoona Riggs announced that Olympic Peninsula Licensing will open as a new vehicle and vessel licensing subagency on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026.

The business will operate as a private company appointed by the Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) and as a county-contracted subagent serving the West End community.

Olympic Peninsula Licensing will provide title and licensing services for vehicles, motorcycles, vessels, watercraft and trailers. Customers will also be able to renew registrations, purchase tonnage, file reports of sale, obtain trip permits and apply for disabled parking placards.

Initially, customers will need to pay by cash or check until the office’s credit card processing system is in place.

The new office is located at:

Olympic Peninsula Licensing

91 E. Division St.

Forks, WA 98331

Phone: 360-374-2036

Office hours will be Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Clallam County partners with the Washington State Department of Licensing to issue and renew vehicle and vessel licenses. Through that partnership, the county contracts with local businesses, known as subagents, to provide convenient locations where residents can conduct licensing transactions in person.

Many licensing services also are available online at dol.wa.gov.
