“Fearing the Dark in Ancient Greece”
Come join us for a Friday Night Fright of a different nature on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m., at Peninsula College – Forks, 481 S Forks Ave.
Peninsula College Adjunct Pat Lowinger will be doing a live presentation on the scary things in the night – in Ancient Greece. Lowinger said, “For the ancient Greeks their world was one seeped in myth and magic. The gods were as real as they were fickle. The mountains, forests, and springs were refuges for a variety of spirits and divine beings. Despite their prayers and sacrifices, far too many sinister forces lurked in the shadows waiting for the opportunity to bring misfortune and death… and far too often the spirits of the dead refused to rest, only to return and torment the living.”
Refreshments will be available courtesy of RainCon 2024 – Forks’ own Geek Festival (Games, Art, Cosplay).
