Joyce Gears Up for the 2025Wild Blackberry Festival
Published 1:30 am Thursday, July 17, 2025
The 2025 Joyce Daze Wild Blackberry Festival returns Saturday, August 2, for a full day of food, music, and small-town fun in Joyce, just 14 miles west of Port Angeles on Hwy 112.
The festival is famous for its wild blackberry pies—over 200 are baked and sliced into 1,200+ servings. Pie slices go on sale at 10 a.m. for $7 ($8 with ice cream). Proceeds support scholarships and community projects. Whole pies may be available after the parade.
Festivities kick off at 7 a.m. with a hot breakfast (location TBA due to construction). Vendor booths open at 9 a.m., along with kids’ activities and live music coordinated by Dave and Rosalie Secord in front of the Joyce Depot Museum.
The Wild Blackberry Pie Contest runs 9–10:55 a.m., with youth and adult categories. Rules are at joycedaze.org.
The Grand Parade begins at 1 p.m. along SR-112. To participate, contact parade@joycedaze.org. Afterward, don’t miss the Extreme Slug Races at 2:30 p.m.—a fun fundraiser for Joyce Fire and Rescue.
The day wraps at 3:30 p.m. with a button drawing for cash prizes.
Joyce Daze is 100% volunteer-run, with planning starting back in March. Organizers are still seeking sponsors and volunteers. Learn more at joycedaze.org or follow “Joyce Daze Wild Blackberry Festival” on Facebook and Instagram.
