5th Grade: Angelica Orozco
Angelica Orozco is May’s 5th Grade Student of the Month. She enjoys light blue, orange chicken, cats, and history. In her free time, she plays games and spends time with her uncle’s dogs. Angelica wants to earn all quarterly rewards next year. Her teachers describe her as motivated, kind, and detail-oriented. “She is becoming a very competent musician and steps up to challenges,” said her band teacher. Ms. Camacho added, “I could easily see her in a top research field.” Angelica thanks her mom and Mrs. Camacho. Congrats, Angelica!
6th Grade: Rieley Gomez Ramos
Rieley Gomez Ramos is the 6th Grade Student of the Month for May. He likes blue, enchiladas, black panthers, and math—and loves playing soccer. He hopes to earn all As and Bs next year. Teachers describe Rieley as a helpful leader, hard worker, and someone who brings positivity to any room. “Rieley has grown so much and is a great leader,” said his music teacher. His coach added, “He shows perseverance and kindness in all he does.” Rieley thanks Ms. Hunley for her support. Great job, Rieley!
7th Grade: Cricket Hammer
Alice “Cricket” Hammer is May’s 7th Grade Student of the Month. She loves her dad’s tacos, bobcats, science, and all things art. She aims to earn all As again and get more of her art on the school’s Artist of the Week wall. Teachers say Cricket is creative, hardworking, and brings joy to the classroom. “She has courage and strength galore,” said her band teacher. “Cricket is bubbly, helpful, and an absolute joy,” added Mrs. Johanson. Cricket thanks her friends for their support. Way to go, Cricket!
8th Grade: Kinley Petrovich
Kinley Petrovich is the 8th Grade Student of the Month for May. She enjoys pink, soup, cats, and history. Kinley likes to run and spend time with friends and is focused on staying caught up in high school. Teachers describe her as hardworking, kind, and funny. “Her quirky personality has been a favorite,” said Mrs. Echeita. “Kinley is a sweet, respectful student who helps others and takes pride in her work,” added her science teacher. Kinley thanks Mrs. Echeita. We’ll miss you, Kinley!
