Nestled in Forks, you will find a patchwork haven—a lively quilt club where enthusiastic crafters stitch threads and stories together

The Piecemaker’s Quilt Club was established in 1984, inspired by Marcia Yanish and Martha Paul, who are still members!
Our mission focuses on education, fun, and friendships. We have over thirty members, representing areas from Forks to Neah Bay to Shelton.
We hold our meetings from September through May, with our first meeting of the new season on Sept. 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Forks Congregational Church.
Additionally, we hold 4-5 ‘free sews’ at the church, inviting both members and the public to enjoy fun-filled 1-2 days of quilting, an open potluck, and more! Occasionally, we invite local or nearby instructors to teach new techniques or provide guidance on using and maintaining our sewing machines.
Our first free sew of the season will take place on Friday, Sept. 12, and Saturday, Sept. 13. The event will start at 9 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. both days. If you don’t have a sewing machine, don’t worry – we have one for you! Lunch will be a simple open potluck.
We are a group of ladies eager to assist others, whether you are new to quilting or just need a refresher course!
Our club has donated quilts to American Heroes and local veterans, sending quilts as far as Asheville, NC, after Hurricane Helene. We also provide baby quilts for local families and those in need farther away!
Our annual Quilt Show takes place in April at the high school gym, displaying the art and design of our area. We invite various vendors and offer demonstrations and classes. Sometimes the instructors are nationally known. Members and local area are encouraged to display their finished projects, and a raffle is held for one lucky person to win a unique quilt crafted by the members.
Our annual expenses are covered by our annual membership fees of $20 and proceeds from the quilt raffle. While there are many monetary benefits for becoming a member, the actual values lie in the expertise, knowledge, education, and friendships that we offer.
You are welcome to attend our monthly meetings and the free sew days!
