Soroptimist Festival of Trees Celebrates 30 Years

The magic of Christmas is almost here, and with it comes one of Forks’ most beloved holiday traditions. Mark your calendars for Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest’s 30th Annual Festival of Trees, themed this year: “A Storybook Christmas.” The celebration takes place Dec. 6 and 7 at the Rainforest Arts Center.

The community is invited to wander through a forest of beautifully decorated trees during the Open House on Saturday, December 6, from 1–4 p.m., and again immediately following the Twinkle Light Holiday Parade. The festivities continue Sunday, December 7, with the Open House beginning at 1 p.m. and the exciting Live Auction starting at 2 p.m., where bidders will compete for this year’s creations.

In addition, tickets are now available for a specially decorated tree by Olympic Corrections Center and five themed gift baskets—perfect for holiday giving. Refreshments will be served by donation to support Soroptimist programs benefiting women and girls in our community.

And don’t forget—Soroptimist wreaths have arrived! If you placed an order, pickup is scheduled at Pacific Forest Management on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21 and 22, from noon to 6 p.m.
