More on the new ambulance

Tim Wade, Forks Community Hospital, Ambulance Supervisor and Safety Officer, shared a few more details about the new vehicle.

“Forks Ambulance recently purchased a “new” ambulance. It is a 2020 Ford F-550 Super Duty with an Osage Super Warrior patient module. The ambulance is equipped with a Stryker Power Cot Stretcher with autoloader, Zoll X-Series defibrillator, Zoll Z-Vent ventilator, and a Lucas-3 Auto CPR device. These devices will enable a crew of EMT’s to provide high-quality CPR, medical and trauma care. The ambulance is larger than our previous models, taller and longer, which means more room for the patient and a safer workspace for the EMT’s.

The ambulance was purchased through Sawtooth Emergency Vehicles in Idaho and was built by Osage Emergency Vehicles in Missouri. While the truck chassis is a 2020, the patient module is a remount, meaning that the entire interior was removed, cleaned, and recovered with upholstery and paint as needed, but the hardware was reused then remounted onto the new chassis.”
