Clallam County Health and Human Services has had a change in rules and they can no longer provide the Clallam County Veterans Association (CCVA) with the names of veterans who have passed away in our county.

This is where the list of veterans for the monthly Bell Ringing comes from (last Friday of the month at 1 p.m. at Veterans Park in Port Angeles).

It is now going to be dependent on families to let the CCVA know if their veteran has passed away and they would like them to be honored at the Bell Ringing.

Please advise Levi Douglas, Veterans Program Coordinator for the Northwest Veterans Resource Center of the passing of your loved one.

Please give the full name of the veteran, date of death, branch of military service, and any details you would like noted. They are open Monday through Thursday 9 am to 3 pm. Please pass this on to friends and neighbors with veterans in the family.
