Lonnie Archibald – Forks Forum photo
This Forks Forum news photo taken by Forks-based freelance photographer Lonnie Archibald has been named the news photo of the year by the Washington Newspaper Publishers Association (WNPA). The award was presented on Friday evening, Oct. 7 to Forks Forum Editor/Publisher Chris Cook at the WNPA’s annual conference held this year at Everett.

Here Archibald is pictured with the WNPA award plaque he was given at his home on Saturday, Oct. 8. His award-winning photo was of local firefighters battling the Olympic Theatre fire in Sept. 2010.
