“Get Fan Favorites and New Fun Varieties at the Master GardenerFoundation of Clallam County Spring Plant Sale”

Plant people unite! Get your garden off to a great start this year with lovingly fussed over veggie and herb starts, native saplings and shrubs, house plants, flowering perennials and annuals and more at the Master Gardener Foundation of Clallam County Spring Plant Sale, Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. for our famous Half-price Sale (closed briefly 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m. to prep) at beautiful Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road in Sequim.

You asked for them. We grew them! Get your cool-weather veggie starts like cabbage, broccoli, lettuce, and other green gems like kohlrabi, Asian greens, Tokyo bekana and bok choi. Plus, chill-friendly alliums like onions, shallots and leeks. Of course, we’ve also got plenty of tomato starts with an emphasis on shorter days to maturity with varieties such as Oregon Spring, Stupice, Berkeley Tie Dye, Early Red Chief, Beaverlodge, Sungold, New Girl, Legend, Gold Nugget, Artemis and Yellow Pear. And fan favorites like Roma, San Marzano, Principe Borghese and Little Napoli. Add some spice to your life with rosemary, thyme, mint, basil, parsley or dill. Fill up your garden with native plants that thrive in our maritime climate and bring you joy year after year with varieties like mock orange, blue elderberry, osoberry, red osier dogwood, serviceberry, oceanspray and red flowering currants. Don’t forget to stop by our

General Store for gardening gifts and gently-used tools and supplies. Petals & Pathways Garden Tour tickets will also be on sale for $20. Don’t know a bergenia from a photinia? Clallam County Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to give free advice and field questions about your garden greenery.

All proceeds from the sale will help to maintain the 2.4-acre Woodcock Demonstration Garden and the Fifth Street Community Garden in Port Angeles. Funds from the plant sale will also support the numerous Master Gardener community services such as the Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) in our local schools, as well as Green Thumb Education Series and Digging Deeper presentations.
