“Hidden in Plain Sight” Event Aims to Equip Parents with Tools to Spot Teen Risk Factors

Parenting teens comes with a unique set of challenges, and some warning signs of serious issues can be surprisingly easy to overlook. To help adults better understand the risks facing today’s youth—including drug use, mental health struggles, unhealthy relationships, and human trafficking—a powerful two-part interactive event called “Hidden in Plain Sight” will take place on Tuesday, May 28 at 6 p.m. at Forks High School.

Designed for adults 21 and older, this engaging and educational event offers a hands-on walk-through of a mock teen bedroom, where participants will search for over 70 items that may indicate risky or problematic behaviors. The experience is followed by a presentation and group discussion highlighting:How these everyday items may be red flags
