March Students of the Month

Six Forks Middle School students have been named “Students of the Month.” Each received an FMS lanyard or Warrior water bottle or hat, a gift certificate and a $20 gift card to Barnes and Noble.

In addition, the students were honored with their parents at a luncheon held at the school. The students are:

 

Derek Fili, grandson of Kenneth and Jackie Hutton, is in Mrs. McCracken’s sixth-grade class. Derek was chosen by his classmates because he is nice to everyone. He always helps when he can and he’s funny. Derek enjoys hanging out with friends and listening to music. His talent is playing the trumpet in the FMS Band. He also plays in the jazz band.

 

Andrea Coberly is the daughter of Starr LeClair. She is in Ms. Thompson’s sixth-grade class. Andrea was chosen  by her classmates because she comes to school every day, is nice and helpful to others and does her homework. Andrea enjoys sports, spending time with friends, and listening to music. Her talents are basketball, volleyball, and softball.

 

Teagan Counsell, daughter of Anna and Frank Geyer, is in Mr. McIrvin’s seventh-grade block class.

 

Teagan was chosen by her peers because she is always helpful in class and she is funny. She works hard, gets her work done, is a nice friend to many people. Teagan enjoys laughing and hanging out with friends, goofing around and just being Teagan! Her talents are playing sports and making people laugh.

 

Cole Baysinger, son of Scott and Nellie Baysinger, is in Mr. McIrvin’s seventh-grade block class. Cole was chosen by his peers because he is always on time for school, gets his assignment in on time, is kind, and is concerned about school and sports. Cole enjoys hunting, football, basketball, and robotics. His talent is hunting.

 

Rochelle Smith is the daughter of Robert and Rebecca Smith and is in Mr. Lether’s and Mrs. Siegford’s block classes. Rochelle is extremely hard working and all of her work is done conscientiously. She turns her work in on time and is respectful of her teachers and all of her classmates. Rochelle enjoys reading, drawing, playing with my siblings, watching TV with her mom and singing. Her talent is singing.

 

Ben Brock is the son of Darren and Gena Brock. He is in Mr. Lether and Mrs. Siegford’s block classes. Ben always does his best work. He is friendly polite and respectful to his classmates and teachers and has excellent manners. Ben enjoys spending time with his family and his hobbies and talents are football and baseball

 

Students of the Month are chosen by their peers and teachers. The Student of the Month project is sponsored by Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest (SIORF).
