This building sits as you enter the new campground. Eventually, it will be open as a retail space. In his spare time, Buonpane likes to carve and create wooden items and other things, which he will offer for sale as well as a place for tourist information publications. A bit of a bonus …could be that a portion of the Olympic Discovery Trail runs through the backside of the new campground. Last week Bruch and Bruch was graveling this part of what will be the trail. This section will line up with the proposed footbridge that will connect to the Calawah Park/Boat Launch. The trail follows the old entrance into Forks and the original bridge location. The entrance into Forks once came in on Sol Duc Way. In the 1930s a new bridge was put in, the one we use now, and the entrance to town changed.
