For the second year in a row Forks’ own Joe Soha individually raised the most donations for the annual Cupid’s Undie Run in Freemont. Soha raised $2,800, with some help from his sister Bridgette, and kept his promise to those that donated to the charity that he would wear certain items of clothing and wings, which broke before the run got started.
The annual fundraiser takes place each Valentine’s weekend all around the world. The charity raises funds for a debilitating genetic disorder called neurofibromatosis (NF). NF causes tumors to grow all over the nervous system and can cause blindness, deafness, learning disabilities and severe chronic pain.
Soha said that he wanted to thank those in the community that donated and he already is planning on next year’s event by asking for wardrobe suggestions adding, "It is a children’s charity so it can’t be too crazy."
All donations to Cupid’s Undie Run and its runners go directly to the Children’s Tumor Foundation and are tax-deductible.
