Second Chances is thriving
Soroptimist Second Chances Thrift store has been busy this summer. Thanks to our volunteers and clientele we were able to pay $40 for many tanks of gas to help West End members travel to their Cancer treatments in Sequim or Seattle through our S.O.S. fund (Soroptimist Oncology Support). We have a great variety of nice women’s clothes for $3 each item. We have added a new rack of “Name Brands” for $10 and they are flying out of the store. So many great deals!
Our normal hours are Mondays, 1st and 3rd week of the month noon to 5 p.m., Every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
We ask that when you visit us please practice social distancing and wear a mask at all times. Thanks so much for your continued support.
Medical Loan Closet
Although we are sad that so many of our community members have been hurt or had surgeries and have had to utilize our medical loan closet we are glad that we could be there to help out and support you. We do not charge for the items that we loan you. We only ask that when you are finished using it that you bring it back in the condition you received it so others in our community can use it if needed. We have had to purchase some new equipment as there has been such a demand for it. We appreciate your support in this and try our best to have the proper equipment on hand when needed. Thanks so much! Stay healthy!
Soroptimist Rada Knives
Soroptimists have been selling Rada Knives and other Rada products for many years. They are currently being sold from our Second Chances Thrift Store. When we go to conventions they are the most sought after item by other Soroptimist clubs. Rada recently introduced a new line of knives called Anthem Wave which has a more ergonomically styled handle.
We also sell beautiful gift sets, perfect for weddings, Christmas or birthday gifts. We will be listing the new knives on our local Facebook page.
