Read a story in the park with the young ones in your life!

Featured titles include “Maria Had a Little Llama/María Tenía una Llamita” by Angela Dominguez, “I Got the Rhythm” by Connie Schofield-Morrison, and “Cat’s Colors” by Airlie Anderson. Titles will rotate between the three parks.

The program is generously supported by local Friends of the Library groups. Parks and Recreation Departments in Sequim, Port Angeles, and Forks have partnered with the library to provide space for the temporary signs to be installed within the city parks.

Explore the Past, Present, and Future

of PC’s Award-Winning “Tidepools Magazine” at June 3 Studium

We are never too young or too old to create art. Explore the past, present, and future of Peninsula College’s award-winning publication, Tidepools Magazine, at our June 3 Studium Generale presentation.

For almost 60 years, Tidepools has been promoting the arts on the Olympic Peninsula by publishing local writers and artists of all ages in an annual, student-run magazine.

What originated as a literary magazine evolved to include visual arts and even music, while today it continues to adapt to current trends in publishing and technology.

Hear from a panel of former and current faculty advisors and student editors as they discuss their contributions to the magazine and how their involvement impacted them personally and professionally. The audience will be treated to a sneak peek of this year’s edition with selected contributors sharing their work and inspiration.

The program will wrap up with a talk about the future of the magazine and how anyone can get involved in promoting the arts.

The online event is free and open to the public.
