Souper Bowl Challenge

By Pastor Warren Johnson

Ever since I can remember we have been bringing our change that has been building up or make a monetary donation for the Souper Bowl of Caring on Super Bowl Sunday at Church.

This organization started out in 1990, where they had churches and organization collect money to feed the hungry and then had them call their totals in or register on the website.

The first years total was just over $700,000, last year’s total was over $8 million. All donations stay local to help our local food bank and then we register the total with the website so it goes in for the grand total to fight hunger.

We as a small church collect $200-$400 that goes to our local food bank.

This Super Bowl, I would like to challenge all the other churches to do the same.

You can find more on this at Souperbowl.org.
