The 13 seniors on the Forks football team went out with a win as the Spartans topped Hoquiam 10-7 on senior night Friday.

Montesano spoiled the fun, though, by besting Elma 42-14 to bounce the Spartans from playoff contention.

Forks finished the season with a 3-3 record in Evergreen 1A League play, 4-5 overall.

Miguel Morales rolled up 107 yards to power the Spartan ground game, with Dimitri Sampson adding 95 and the game-winning touchdown run in the fourth.

Hoquiam led 7-3 at the half after Devin Kelly, who racked up 211 yards on the night, found pay dirt from 72 yards away in the second quarter.

The Grizzlies finished the year 1-5 in league, 2-7 overall after last year’s 12-1 season.

Tenino finished 5-1 in league to claim the title, with Montesano, Rochester and Elma all finishing with 4-2 league records. Montesano held a tiebreaker to take the two seed.
