The Quillayute Valley Scholarship Auction was back to its normal two-day event this past weekend with hundreds of donated items up for bid. A large crowd filled the FHS commons to bid in person and the local radio station KBDB 96.7 donated live coverage so people could listen elsewhere and make bids over the phone.

Late Sunday night David Hurn, QVSA coordinator, said in a Facebook post, “How about just over $140,000 in our two days of live auction? This number will only go up once we add in our cash donations. Thank you to this community for what you do year in and year out for these kids. I don’t think anywhere else can compete!”
