Primary Ballots Mailed -Voter Pamphlets finally mailed

CLALLAM COUNTY – The Primary is underway! Ballots were mailed on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, to all active registered voters in Clallam County. Military and overseas voters’ ballots were mailed on June 21, 2024.

The purpose of the Primary is to allow voters to winnow the number of candidates down to two for placement on the General Election ballot in November.

Official Ballot Drop Boxes are open throughout Clallam County and ballot collection is underway. Return your ballot by Official Ballot Drop Box or by mail, no stamp is needed. Your ballot must be deposited in an Official Ballot Drop Box by 8 p.m. or postmarked by Election Day, Aug. 6, 2024. If mailed, the USPS recommends that you mail a week before Election Day.

Voters returning their ballot less than a week before Election Day are encouraged to use an Official Ballot Drop Box.

There are nine (9) Official Ballot Drop Boxes throughout Clallam County. Locations can be viewed at www.votewa.gov.

Registered voters who do not receive a ballot packet by the end of the week should call or visit the Elections and Voter Registration Office for a replacement. Voters can also securely access a replacement ballot delivered online by logging into www.votewa.gov.

Printed statewide Voters’ Pamphlets were supposed to be mailed to all Washington State residences. It seems there was a problem getting those guides mailed out and as of press time no voters in the West End had received a copy. Update they have been mailed out ….An Online Voters’ Guide is available at www.clallamcountywa.gov/elections.
