After defeating Hoquiam 64-55 to take the Evergreen 1A league championship, members of the Forks Spartan boys basketball team gave a standing ovation to the large group of Forks supporters who made the trip to Hoquiam Feb. 1 to help boost both the boys and girls teams to victory. The girls defeated Hoquiam 60-43. Both Forks teams are to play in the district tournament. The boys are scheduled to play the number four Trico League team in Forks at 7 p.m. Thursday Feb 7, while the girls are to travel south to King’s Way Christian Friday Feb. 8 for a 7 p.m. contest against the Trico League champions.
