Honoring Our Heroes: Memorial Day Events in Forks

Memorial Day is approaching, and the Forks American Legion Post #106 invites the community to join in honoring our fallen Veterans and their families through a series of meaningful events.

This year’s traditional Memorial Day Service will take place on Monday, May 26, at 11 a.m. at the cemetery. The ceremony will include guest speakers, Taps, and a solemn gun salute in remembrance of those who gave their lives in service to our country.

In addition to the ceremony, the American Legion is hosting special community events at the Rainforest Arts Center (RAC), located at the corner of Forks Avenue and Division Street:

Tickets will be available at the door and refreshments will be available. Prizes will be awarded for best-dressed male and female in period attire.

Monday, May 26 – Veterans’ Stories & Memorabilia Display

Following the cemetery service, at the RAC from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., come to hear firsthand accounts from local Veterans and view memorabilia from their time in the military.
