Rayonier reopens lands to public access

Rainfall sufficient for fire safety

Rayonier press release – Friday, Oct. 12, 2012

Recent rains have allowed Rayonier to re-open their Western Washington lands to general public access effective immediately.  Rayonier owns 390,000 acres of timberlands in Grays Harbor, Pacific, Wahkiakum, Jefferson, Lewis and Clallam Counties

“We appreciate the public’s support in helping us prevent a serious forest fire during the dry weather,” said Eduardo Hernandez, Rayonier’s Pacific Resource Unit Leader.  “We ask that folks returning to the forest follow signage designating areas closed to the general public and the Red Dot/Green Dot system controlling motorized access.  While on the property, drive carefully, wear hunter orange and always practice safe gun handling.”
