PORT ANGELES, WA. – Peninsula College is proud to present the Community Education – Instructor Art Exhibition, now on view at the PUB Art Gallery on the Port Angeles campus through November 20, 2025.
This free, public exhibition celebrates the creative vision and artistic excellence of the College’s Community Education instructors, showcasing a wide range of mediums including ceramics, beadwork, watercolor, monoprints, quilts, and textiles.
“Community Education instructors are artists who bring their knowledge and passion into the classroom,” said Camilla Rico, dean of Community Education and Campus Enterprises. “This exhibition is an opportunity for the public to experience the breadth of their creativity while celebrating the important role they play in inspiring students of all ages.”
Featured Artists
Andréa Woods – Nature Journaling with Watercolors: A contemporary impressionist painter inspired by the Pacific Northwest, Woods uses rich colors and textures to explore landscapes and natural forms.
Ariel Zimman – Entrepreneurship for Creatives: A nationally recognized ceramics artist and entrepreneur whose work has been featured in Rolling Stone, Dwell, Vogue, and Forbes.
Karen Sixkiller – Beading Workshop: Peyote Stitch in the Round: A contemporary Cherokee artist whose sculptural beadwork has earned top recognition, including a blue ribbon at the 2023 Santa Fe Indian Market.
Kaylee Cammack – Gel Printing and Handmade Books: A mixed media and collage artist with three decades of experience teaching and crafting across multiple disciplines.
Rachel Anderson – Quilt Studio: A long-time Peninsula College instructor who began her quilting journey at PC in 2004 and now shares her love of tradition and textile art with the community.
Sara Deren – Ceramics: Wheel Throwing and Ceramics 2: A ceramic artist and Peninsula College Artist in Residence whose organic forms and textures reflect the natural world.
Thomas Connery – Ceramics: Wheel Throwing and Ceramics 2: A ceramic sculptor and educator whose work explores landscapes and ecologies, shaped by his upbringing in Arizona and refined through national residencies and his MFA studies.
