Immerse yourself in the rich history of the Pacific Northwest logging industry. Watch the 1981 documentary that offers a glimpse into the lives of local sawmill workers.
Join us for a compelling screening of “Cuts,” a 38-minute documentary filmed by Charles Gustafson, that offers a poignant glimpse into the lives of sawmill workers in Forks, WA.
This 1981 documentary delivers a gripping observation of the hardscrabble individuals who dedicated their lives to well-compensated yet perilous jobs in the region’s sawmills. Don’t miss this chance to appreciate the stories of those who shaped the timber industry.
After the documentary, attendees will have the opportunity to interact and participate in a discussion.

Oct. 17 – 90th Annual Harvest Dinner – 4:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. The menu will include turkey, potatoes, stuffing, salmon, green beans, salads, and beverages. Adults $10, Seniors over 60 and ages 4-12 $6.
Oct. 18-19 – Rainforest Council for the Arts will offer Autumn Arts and Music at the Rainforest Arts Center, with art classes, activities for kids, and live music: Black Diamond Junction on Saturday Night.
Oct. 21 West End Historical Society
Everyone is welcome on the third Tuesday of the month to come learn about our West End history. Meetings start at noon at the Congregational Church Fellowship Hall. Lunch is available for purchase.
