Three Rivers Fire Department volunteers responded as mutual aid with Forks Ambulance, alongside the National Park Service, La Push Police Department, Quileute Fire Department, and Forks Fire Department, to a trauma incident at Rialto Beach on the evening of January 1, 2026. Despite inclement weather and challenging terrain, responders located an individual who had been injured in a driftwood-strewn area and had become immobilized.
Over several hours of coordinated effort, the patient was located, evaluated, stabilized, extricated, and transported to a local hospital for further medical evaluation.
